I’ve got a Rega P8 with and Apheta 3 cartridge on one of my systems. I wanted a cheaper table for a system I primarily listen to heavy metal on. I paired this Pro-ject with a Schiit Mani 2 and I love how this sounds with rock and metal. It’s got better bass than the Rega and a full bodied sound. The Rega has more air and detail, but the Pro-ject is more than able to take advantage of better quality vinyl. I got mine as an open box and consider this an audiophile bargain
