Works great on rusty metal

I bought 16 quarts (4 gallons) of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) to save some shipping costs. From the day I ordered the chemical until I received it was 6 business days before I received the product. When I opened the box, all of the 16 quart bottles were upside down according to the arrows printed on the outside of the box. Fortunately there were red caps to seal each quart bottle so no leaks. Once I poured all of the bottles into my chemical tank and added the water, the pH was correct without adjustment. If I were to order again, I would make sure I had 2 weeks or more from the order date.

Great service

I use caustic soda to make soap. I am currently using the beads, and although they are cheaper, they are more of a hazard, as they clump together and create static electricity. So, now I am switching over to flakes. These flakes are the high purity I need, and at a great price. Shipping was extremely fast too, but I attribute that to the fact that I ordered early in the morning, and I am only 3 hours away by car from their facility in Taylor, Texas.

Good product but over priced

This methenol is a great price for purity in a geothermal loop lines. Being it has no additives as it is pure, you can add a small amount of corrosion inhibitor to prevent rusting of any metal part the anti-freeze-water mix (usually 1-5). This will also behave as a lubricant protecting copper, iron pump or brass. The loop is PEX plastic and will not be effected by the methenol or water. You can buy methenol with inhibitor or even water mix at a much higher price. Thank you Alliance.
