Been eyeballing one of these kits for my CNC-converted G0704 for awhile now. Have heard a lot of folks saying the upgrade was great, but Chris exceeded my already high expectations! As soon as I ordered the kit, Chris added me on Facebook and messaged me to let me know the timeline of him shipping out the kit and to offer any assistance if needed during assembly. Throughout the process, Chris kept me up to date on progress in getting everything ready to ship, including photos of the parts in production. When I received the kit, the parts he machined looked even better than they did in the photos. The aluminum parts dang near look like they're chromed, the surface finish is so nice. All edges were nicely deburred and all of the parts fit beautifully. The parts were packaged extremely well with items being individually heat-sealed in packets with photos showing exactly where they should be installed, etc. Definitely don't hesitate to order one of these kits! Having it installed now, I wish I would've ordered it years ago :)

Bought this through Chris at Small Shop Concepts to support his work on the very cool Probe_Basic CNC interface. Looks and works great ! Eventually purchased the optional 1/4" shank to allow me to use it on smaller machines. I'm currently recommending one for the Rochester Makerspace for use on our Tormach pcnc 1100 that was recently donated to us by our local college, Rochester Institue of Technology (RIT).

i think i bought mine 4 or 5 years ago for my tomach and i have no complaints years later. it is wireless and very receptive, the battery still holds a long charge, and still holds zero respectively. i have and would recommend it to anyone. it is pricey compared to the wired ones but you get quality and ease of use and less of a headache not worrying with a wire everytime its used. so like i said i still use it to this day and cant imagine not having one.

Excellent communication, knowledgeable support during the sales phase. Shipping packaging is top rate. It will be a couple months before the kit is completely installed and I'm confident Chris will be there to answer ant questions that might come up.

this setup took my mill from being a cute toy in my garage to a total powerhouse. the motor absolutely rips through material, the spindle cartridge upgrade for the bearings is so smooth that i can balance a nickel on the head of the machine at any RPM. my production time was cut by 2/3 compared to the stock motor. Tool changes are easy as pie now, so i've even added a tool to my workflow to chamfer, since it doesn't actually add much time to the process. 10 out of 10, can't imagine life without it.

I installed this motor on my CNC G0704 along with the spindle power kit. I'm controlling it with a Teco Westinghouse L510 VFD. This motor is a beast, and its very quiet and smooth. It's a perfect Bolt-On compliment to Chris's Power Spindle Kit and the price is amazing. You won't be disappointing!

I purchased the G0704 Deluxe Spindle Power Upgrade Kit (with Spindle bearing upgrade) and added the Leeson 1hp 3ph motor as suggested by Chris and have absolutely NO regrets. This is a MUST HAVE upgrade for the G0704. The extended "Y" capacity is truly a game changer and the new 3ph belt driven spindle setup makes this mill plow through material with little effort compared to the stock motor and those loud plastic gears. I now have full spindle control through Mach4 with proper feeds and speeds while machining. The Power Drawbar is a total dream, I cant believe what a time saver this is. The complete retrofit took me 3 full days but that included a complete rebuild of all the electronics, drivers, VFD, and smoothstepper + MB3 breakout board. The design and quality of Chris's products are second to none. Everything was very securely packaged for shipping and the parts came to me in perfect condition with mirror like finishes on all of the machined parts. Everything bolted together perfectly and all of the parts included were very high quality. Chris was always there to guide me through the process and had a ton of hints and tricks to make the process smooth. He took a lot of time reciprocating emails and links for everything from the MB3 to the VFD setup to the detailed spindle bearing break-in procedure. You just don't see this kind of service these days. I cannot say enough positive remarks about Chris's business ethics. In this day and age, it is truly refreshing to be able to work with someone like Chris. Top quality parts, awesome customer service, and very fair prices... what more can you ask for. The probe is very good, and was nearly indicated perfectly out of the box, and the service was surprisingly fast when I had a slight issue with my order.

Great communication. Some of the nicest parts I've seen come off of a cnc. Best drive system / quick change tool system available for the G0704 in my opinion. Can't imagine how it could be better. Game changer for the G0704 cnc conversions.

I am very satisfied with the probe that I purchased. The probe is very robust and of great quality. The anodized surface is very nice and provides a durable surface on the probe. Very clean item.
