Most amazing experience ever! The only thing it could have been longer! Our tour guide was the best ever! His knowledge and attention will never be forgotten. The staff and accomodations were excellent. The adventures will never be forgotten and new friends for life! Best trip ever! Thank you Root Adventures! Just get out do it! You will not regret!

I went on my first group trip with people I didn’t know. I was nervous at first, but once I got there, our groups dynamic hit it off immediately and it was amazing! The planning that went into this trip was mind blowing! Surf lessons, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming with SEA LIONS!!!! I highly recommend looking into Root Adventures id you want an amazing trip that is all planned out for you! Amazing trip and experience!!!

The experience was so fulfilling in all different areas. It allowed me to come out of my comfort zone and try new things. The personalities were great and so fun to be around with. Not to mention that Andrea, Jason, and Aaron wrapped up the experience flawlessly.

Loved it! Beautiful destination just outside of Ouray, Colorado. The Red Mountain Lodge provided incredible accommodations. The lodge was beautiful and was large enough to hold a large group. The chef prepared meals were delicious and there was room for family style dining. I have very strict dietary needs and Root Adventures reached out about dietary needs ahead of time. The in house chef made me specific meals to meet my restrictions. My favorite part was hiking on the property and ending the hike with time in the sauna. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip with an amazing group of people. I can’t wait to go on another adventure with Root Adventures!

What a fabulous celebration of wellness! The week was both stimulating and relaxing, invigorating and calming. The FOOD was a highlight--three meals a day, no menu, just delicious farm-to-table food prepared with no grains, no dairy, and no added/processed sugars, but lots of taste. The spa, although not cheap, provided services on a par with those I've had all over the world; I especially recommend the Thai massage (just like Bangkok) and the four-hand massage. In addition to my yoga teacher/group, I also had the opportunity to take twice daily yoga classes from the excellent resident yoga teacher. I was totally content to never leave the beautifully landscaped resort, although I did have a medical emergency involving an ear that just wouldn't "pop": the hotel staff went out of their way to make an appointment for me and provide transportation. All in all, it was a magical week that Root Adventures organized so I didn't have to deal with any logistics.

The amount of yoga and meditation was daunting at first, and, I totally enjoyed it - especially the yin and restorative classes. It was really fantastic to learn cartwheels and handstands, things I would never do on my own. The Retreat staff was amazing - I will go back there. Breanne’s PDF packet and communication was great. I felt she was super accessible whenever I sent an email. I highly recommend Root Adventures to my friends and family and will definitely work with them again!!

What a delightful, relaxing, yet also energizing week. The food was divine--no menus, just fresh, wholesome farm-to-table food prepared with sublime seasonings. I truly did not miss grains/dairy/added processed sugars in the least. I was on a yoga retreat with my own teacher/group, but also had the opportunity to practice with The Retreat's resident yoga instructor, who was excellent. The spa services, while not cheap, were on a par with those I've had all over the world. I never left the impeccably landscaped resort (except an emergency run to a medical clinic for an ear issue, which the resort staff handled beautifully), and couldn't have been happier!

Our experience in Ethiopia was PHENOMENAL! The accommodations were great; my two teenaged sons and I were especially appreciative of having 3 beds in all of our rooms (in every city!). The tour guide, Ashenafi (Ashu) was well-organized, passionate, and very knowledgeable. We didn’t need Google, we could just “Ashu it”! :-) It was a wonderful learning experience, and an unexpected yet welcomed pilgrimage to the cradle of humanity. We look forward to experiencing more Root Adventures!

This lovely couple really knows how to travel well. They had everything in order to make the trip go smooth. I’m so glad to have met them. Our Yoga retreat was a trip I’ll never forget. Thanks root adventures for all of the hard work you put into planning!!

We had an amazing time! I went with my family, my wife and two kids, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Everything surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed every single moment. Camp Cecil was extraordinary, the staff, the guides, the food, everything!!! Hopefully we'll do this trip with Root Adventures every year

This retreat was just what was needed....a time to step away from daily life and social media. Reconnecting with nature and staying active while enjoying a healthy diet and making making new friends. Everything was well organized. The staff at the resort and at Camp Cecil were very polite and extremely helpful. Yhe guides (Hugo and Luli) were th he best. I was amazed at Hugo's wealth of knowledge on the environment, sea life, birds, insects and history. Luli was a sweetheart and even attended some of our yoga sessions and workouts. Brianne and Danielle thought of everything and the group was a perfect mesh of young and old. It was an added bonus to have a professional photographer and yoga instructor join us. Fantastic Experience!!

I went to Baja without expectations and with a group of strangers -- and left wanting to move there, as a group of tight-knit friends. Breanne and David did an excellent job of striking the perfect balance between relaxation and activity. There was so much to do on the island - kayaking, SUPing, snorkeling, swimming with sea lions, stargazing... the possibilities are endless. Our guides and the staff at Camp Cecil were so friendly and knowledgeable. They made the trip! The food was fresh and gourmet. Our brief time at Todos Santos was also incredible! I saw one of the best sunsets I've ever seen, with a group of new friends I'll keep in touch with for years to come!

We had so much fun on our trip to Baja with Root! From our meeting point at the airport throughout the duration of our tour, everything was organized well and the whole trip went smoothly. Guides were friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing their amazing country with us. The food at camp Cecil was plentiful, healthy and delicious. The activities were great too- kayaking and SUP at sunset were trip highlights! Camp Cecil was so comfortable and the staff were very eco-conscious as well. It was a true escape from our busy lives. We had a great time and look forward to returning again soon!

Breanne organized an absolutely wonderful vacation for our family. With an almost two year old and three year old, we needed a home base with lots of access to outdoor adventures. Todos Santos and Baja fit the bill. Our hotel was carefully selected to give us enough room and amenities for everyone (and super close to a beach), just a short drive to downtown Todos Santos. We enjoyed glamping on Isla Espiritu with the most knowledgeable and friendly guides, kayaking, seeing so much marine life (dolphins, turtles, sea lions, rays, fish), and hiking. Our trip was the perfect combination of hanging out at pristine and desolate beaches and staying on the go with all of the fun activities Breanne planned. I'd highly recommend this trip and especially Breanne's organizational skills and contacts in the area!

I traveled to Baja with Root in late April and had an absolute blast. I made meaningful connections with my fellow travelers, dipped my toe into a pool of new activities (swimming with sea lions!!), and left my week in Mexico feeling rejuvenated. I also left the week feeling empowered: A unique aspect of our trip was that all the travelers were women; while I had some trepidation about traveling with a group of women I didn't really know, it turned out to be one of the best parts of the trip. Adventuring in new territory with other strong, confident, badass ladies was energizing — and really, really fun. We snorkeled, SUPed, swam, kayaked, explored, and connected over shared experiences as we chatted at the dinner table late into the evening. I will cherish the time I spent in Baja and look forward to an opportunity to return. I'm grateful to Root for coordinating such a memorable adventure.
