I'm no expert, but you are misrepresenting an okidoko ("portable display space") that would serve as an alcove space-- typically in a shop window displaying dolls or an antique. A jibukoro (literally, "earth cabinet") is a lower sliding door cabinet in a wall-- not typically associated with a tokonoma. A tenbukoro ("heaven cabinet") is an upper sliding door cabinet that may or may not be associated with a built-in shelf in a wakidoko ("auxiliary display space") tokonoma. A tokogamachi (kamachi) is an ornamental wooden bar in the front part of a tokonoma's hondoko ("genuine floor space"). For a formal tokonoma the tokogamachi is lacquered. Perhaps, your description should be reconsidered.

These little wooden animals are charming and in immaculate condition although they are 25 years old. I am so happy to have them. They arrived very quickly and were packed with great care.
