What did I like? - Great neck , Nice action (out of the box) , sounds good , packaged nicely and it a really good feeling guitar overall. What I don't like is I ordered a Grey one , which I had to wait for (B.O and it did come in its allotted time) but it looks like a beige color instead. Kind of a strange color for a guitar, but it does play well. Great guitar for the money or even compared to way more expensive guitars. A added bonus was I got it on sale . So I guess I have a beige guitar now :) , Wanted to mention that they did offer to send me a grey one but this one has grown on me Update : Liked it so much picked up another one :)

This guitar sounds better than my mim fender stratocaster and plays almost as good. The NECK IS AMAZING. How they can build a guitar with this kind of quality and sell it for $150 dumbfounds me. The pickups are FIRE. I plugged it in and my amp was still set from playing my strat and I had as soon as I hit the top E string I new I had a keeper. Now for the bad news. I read a lot of reviews on how great this guitar setup right out of the box. Well the one I got was NOT. I had to adjust every saddle and I had to make a half a turn on the trust rod. And only the G string was intonated correctly. I had to really crank the E and A saddles to get the intonation correct. But the guitar is so good I still recommend it even if you don't know how to set up a guitar and have to pay $50 or so to have a professional to do it.The guitar would still be worth the money.. I have bought 6 budget guitars from Amazon and this one is the best all around guitar by far.So Yes I recommend this guitar to beginners as well as professionals and everyone in between..

I bite the bullet and grabbed one and glad I did wow. it came in perfect finish is nice neck frets are done very well for budget guitars smooth fast one of the best necks I've ever played. I add brass saddles and a nut so switch out not that the others were bad just my preference. full size block you never find on guitars priced this range bonus! Ill keep the pickups because they scream in this guitar. The only gripe is the tuners they can be changed out easily and cheap. They do hold there tune but could use improvement. The maple finger board and the frets were very smooth. My model just required tuning and was playable as is. The tones - five way switch for two singles and one humbucker pickup were good. The knobs are smooth but snug and are black to match the hardware - machine heads, covers. The white pickup covers are a nice contrast. It is a medium weight and comes with a padded gig bag of good construction for transporting to gigs or lessons. and it has a tremolo with nice push in tremolo arm in black!. Strings were nice to start with. A great first guitar to learn on or to use in a small coffee shop.

Very pleased with this purchase especially considering the price. I worked in a retail full line music store for 13 years and have unboxed and set up a lot of guitars in my day. Squire, Fender, Epiphone, Ibanez etc.. and can't imagine a better inexpensive electric guitar for a beginning player. Really impressed with the neck and that includes the nut and fret work. Plus (see pics) mine has very nice figure throughout the maple fingerboard. Looks just great! After I put on a fresh set of strings (10's) and set up, the guitars intonation is spot on. Everything works as advertised. The manufacture is doing something right in the QC department. For the dollars, I like this guitar so much I won't even bother saying the machine heads could be better and the pickups are a little weak...most reviews mention this..I mean what do you expect in this price range? I'm rating this guitar for being at a $130 price point. I am not comparing it to expectations of a $1000+ guitar. For the $$, this instrument is amazing. I bought it as a project guitar that I could "wrench" on and fix up. But, I was totally surprised at the quality of sound, playability, and workmanship right out of the box. First, it was shipped in a guitar box, with the guitar itself in its own guitar bag (nice bag too). When I pulled the instrument out, it was carefully wrapped in plastic with a set of allen wrenches (For truss rod and bridge adjustments), and whammy bar attached. Plastic covered the rear plates and each pickup as well. The knobs and selected switch was protected with stereo foam. Then I saw an inspection tag hanging from the neck...It had the date of inspection, the name of the inspector, and even the set-up numbers used to adjust the string height. Really amazing for a $130 guitar. The neck was straight and everything looked good on it. The selector switch and knobs have a hardy feel to them as well. The guitar is very light and the neck radius reminded me of a Vintage C shape. It comes with "Nines" on it and was strung correctly. I plugged it in and easily tuned it up, and to my amazement, the guitar was properly intimated!! The string height was very comfortable and playable with no fret buzz at all. The intonation at the 12th fret was spot on. This $130 guitar had been "set-up," inspected, and carefully packaged. I've bought much more expensive guitars from big stores with much less care than this guitar displayed. I was shocked at the playability right out of the box! The pickups sounded good at all positions and were adjusted properly at the right height for even tone and volume. See the video of how it sounds going through an amp simulator and delay. Picked one of these up in pink as for my daughter to learn on. She was showing interest in my guitars, so, I figured I would get her one of her own to get started on some lessons with. For the price, it was surprisingly good quality. Neck was straight. Action was good. Intonation was good. Frets felt better than some "name brand" guitars I have felt that come in at a good triple the price of this one. No glaring fit or finish issues. Sounds were decent out of it. A little weak, but, I mean, the entire guitar costs less than some pickup sets on their own. The only one issue that I found with it, especially for a beginner, was the tuners were not good. Felt uneven when turning them. Didn't hold tune very well. So, I picked up a set of Wilkinson Deluxe (vintage) tuners that were a direct fit for 23 dollars and some change. Took about 10 minutes to replace. Paired her up with a Blackstar Debut 15....and she has a nice little starter rig. She loves it. Now to see if she sticks to it for any length of time.
