There is no buildup, it's thin, not thick. A little goes a long way, it truly absorbs into your hair leaving it soft smooth and shiny, polished, the consistency is great your style will last and last. The smell is pleasant. It's a must have!!!

Works great! This coming from a person who during colder months suffers from excema on my face and psoriasis on scalp. I mostly wear natural protective styles and started using black earth products about 2 months ago. My wash regimen is every 8-10 dys. This keeps my scalp and hairline in good condition so I don't have to use medicated rx shampoos. This smells really good and gives my hair a deep clean feeling. My scalp feels moisturized and my hair feels soft after every use. I highly recommend!

I have been using the Apple and Aloe Line for my coily curls for about a year now and I absolutely love the entire line. My favorite is the leave in conditioner because it leaves my hair feeling moisturized and soft two days or so without reapplying. Got my hair that's a triumph. The Nutrition Curl Definer is perfect for my hair, it's light and smooth. Very easy to apply. My hair feels like my natural hair after it dries. Since using their Green Apple and Aloe collection I have seen more curl definition.

After three times of trying the shampoo, I have concluded that I don't like the shampoo. The first time you lather it, your hair is clean and when you rinse a repeat (which i always do to get more lather) your hair feels squeaky clean, their clarifiers has never made my hair feel squeakly clean,they get my hair really cleansed but it still feels moisturised now it does say at the front of the bottle '....for supreme softness and effective cleansing' . Which means it's gentle but clarifying but this made hair feel stripped to the point it felt like my hair was going to break off...you have to deep condition after shampooing with this, which I used their Green Apple and aloe deep conditioner which made things much better and puts the moisture back into my hair. I have tried most of TW shampoos and this one is not good. Even their Stimulating herbal cleanser (made to thoroughly cleanse hair and remove build up ) is more moisturizing than this shampoo. I love all the products from the GA&A line except this one. Btw I have low porosity hair.I think TW should change the formula of this product in my opinion. The only thing I like about it is the fragrance.
