Frankly poor
This is really a quite shockingly poor wine, to the point where I actually struggle to believe it is from a good Santorini producer. The previous vintage was a good value introduction to Santorini, albeit far from the quality of the producer's own wines. This one, though, is dull and hugely disappointing and I don't think anyone would recognise it as Santorini.

Very simple party wine
I have read some of the previous reviews (of which there are many!) and they are often dificult to interpret because no one mentions exactly which vintage they are reviewing. My opinion is of the 2020 vintage but I suspect Bougrier make a fairly consistent product, set at the same quality level (for price) for each of their 'brand' labels from year to year. I would side with those reviews which describe this as v light and watery albeit inoffensive. I found it to have fresh and crunchy cherry-ade (rather than proper cherry) fruit, rather confected & reminiscent of barley sugar sweets. Very short finish and lacking much (if any!) individual character. Just OK for background quaffing for alcohol content whilst focussed on some other activity... an inoffensive Christmas office party lubricant! Note that analysis of an £8 bottle of wine sold in the UK (minus the tax, VAT, bottle/label/transport & 15-20% retail margin) leaves only 90p attributable to actual wine. En vrac equivalent..
