      Windshield great, left with other issues

      The staff and my windshield replacement was great. But the next day when I was home my car wouldn't start. After some investigation, the battery was not hooked back up properly after the installation and recalibration causing it to drain. We ended up having to get a new battery for my car. Ended up being a more expensive repair on our end.

      It is despicable that SAFELITE

      It is despicable that SAFELITE advertises a windshield including labor at under $400, and has a box that u mist check saying there may be a slight charge to (forgot their word but same as) program the windshield. They get it installed and the programming charge costs MORE than the windshield, labor, and their travel to do the job! Upcharging and upselling happen every day, but to require it and not reveal the cost, and the cost to be that ridiculously high is ridiculous. I will use Cassidy and Self and my family of 10 cars will too from now on.

      Service was horrible because it never happened. I took the day off to get my windshield repaired and when i contacted safelite they said the technician called me and knocked on my door waited for fifteen minutes. I can assure you this is not true. I was home all day

      Incorrect Windshield Installed

      The wrong tinted windshield was installed. Supposed to be blue, not green. Apparently never checked with the Mercedes dealer for the correct part number. Used an in stock windshield from the Safelite warehouse instead of ordering the OEM product from the dealer. Now I can't get a response back from Safelite regarding the correction.

      I can't review the services because I never got that far, just scheduling the service was too difficult. I went with a local auto repair shop that scheduled me sooner and for less $$$.

      Not fixed looks the same

      Looks no different. I wasted an insurance claim with this company. They are arrogant as I perceived talking to them. I could not even speak to a manager. I do not recommend them for glass repairs.

      Impossible to contact someone at Safelite

      Had a tech come out to repair a crack. The crack started expanding and needs attention. Left two messages but no one returned my call. The crack is still expanding . This is poor.

      At first it looked good, until...

      At first, everything looked great. It took the full three hours to replace my windscreen, however when it was done, it looked good. Than I started to drive. Right as I drove out of the lot, an old clip fell from my roof that was left there during the process. Once I got home, I noticed a tool on the floorboard in front of my passenger seat. A couple days later, I was driving on the freeway and there was this horrendous vibration coming from the windshield. Almost simultaneously, two panels between the a-pillar and fenders that were removed during the install started to lift up from their places because they were not placed back correctly. Needless to say, I have to take my truck back and have them fix all of these issues.

      Horrible Service

      This is by no means a reflection of the gentleman that arrived to service my truck, however I was terribly misinformed . The customer service rep that initially took my service order gave inaccurate information concerning the service needed. I requested a quote for a windshield replacement and he quoted me for a crack in my windshield (I have text messages to prove). When the technician arrived, he was under the impression that he was repairing a crack and had no windshield to replace. He contacted his manager who attempted to give me a much higher price for replacing my windshield. I declined because I felt like there should have been some type of compensation due to the fact that I was misquoted and misinformed and missed a day of work to take care of this.

      No Follow Up. No Follow Through.

      Our windshield (OEM) took 16 months to arrive. We had to keep asking for updates. Finally, it arrived on August 1st, but no one called us for 3 months! Then, I had to make a new appointment for installation. The appointment kept being deleted or dropped from their online website. Extremely frustrating.

      INCOMPETENCE!

      You guys never seem to be able to bring the right windshield or the right materials on your visits! This is the second (AND LAST) time I use y'all. When you replaced my windshield in May, the guy came out but he didn't have the right weatherstripping for my car. Then the windshield at your facility got damaged. It took three tries to get it right. I lose time. I could've scheduled to do something else rather than sit around fore 3 or 4 hours - to no avail! Same car now in November, the guy just left my home saying it wasn't the proper windshield! Didn't they have my winshield info from the May installation? Unbelievable! ANd y'all are supposed to be "experts?" INCOMPETENCE! I'll just take my car to the BMW dealership - no thanks to Safelight.
