What a fantastic shop. Tucked up over the harbor is the perfect place for a shop like this. You just don’t find quaint shops like this anymore. It’s a lost art. I dropped off my Bach trumpet and within a week they had it looking new. I’m amazed at the transformation. I’ll be using three guys solely from now on for all my brass repair work.

Called for a piano repair. Fast service. Work was done promptly and the quality of work was outstanding. While they were there they noticed a grandfather clock that stopped working and now they are working on that. The level of knowledge and the care of our home while they are there is great. I would highly recommend A+++

Worst experience with ALEX , he spoiled my selmer mark vi alto.charged me USD 280/- in dec2023 for overhaul. The instrument started showing leakages from E down to A#. He did a very unprofessional and is very hopeless technician.

I have to give Prince Brass 5 stars. They do amazing work. We have a rental trumpet from another rental store, that my daughter's private teacher stated it was in dire need of a thorough cleaning... valves were stuck, and stuff was growing inside. I took it back to the store where I rented it and explained the situation. They were not very willing to help, they told my daughter it was fine and to clean it herself. Our private teacher recommended Prince Brass Repairs, and they did an amazing job. They completely fixed and cleaned the trumpet. Fixed the bell, fixed the valves that were stuck, and completely cleaned and sanitized it. It has been fully restored. It looks and sounds amazing. They were fast, reliable, and honest. It was a pleasure to use Prince Brass repairs to repair a 25 year old bass trombone to like new condition. Alexander was cautious, thorough, and detail oriented to bring all the small and at times large imperfections back to factory quality. In addition, he has been a pleasure to work with as our school repair person.

Prince Brass Repair’s customer service is above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. I have a 25 year old horn with a first valve that has been giving me trouble for the entire life of the horn. It has been taken to several different repair shops with no luck. Prince Brass Repair was different. After an initial cleaning and valve lapping my first valve was better, but not perfect. Alex talked me through a few things to try to isolate the problem. After going back and forth for a bit I brought the instrument back to him. Armed with the information provided by my texts, and a determination to not be defeated, he looked at the valve every which way imaginable. Because of his attention to detail he was able to fix the problem that so many before him were unable to fix. I am a tremendously happy customer and will be returning in the future.

I bought a trumpet from Barcelona (Spain), and Alex has only provided me with facilities and a spectacular service! The trumpet arrived in perfect condition, and it is an amazing instrument. I am sure that in the future I will buy more instruments from him. He is a professional and a great person!

My 71st birthday present was having my cherished flute totally refurbished to it's original beauty. It was a gift from my Mom when I was in elementary school and it served me well through high school. After sitting idle for nearly 60 years it was extremely tarnished. My husband contacted Alex and we were impressed with his business protocol. Alex came to our home and carefully inspected the flute. He fully explained what he could do to restore the flute's beauty and functionality (clean, polish, replace pads and springs as needed, dents removed, etc). Alex was prompt, professional and personable. He kept us informed every step of the way with e-mails and pictures. We highly recommend Alex's expertise for instrument repair & restoration. In an absolute last minute issue, Alex & Ryan both came to my home to check out my daughter’s flute the day I reached out for help. They listened to her play so they could determine the problem. They provided her with a rental so she could continue playing & be able to record her NYSSMA solo 2 days later. Thankfully the problem was minor & her flute was repaired within a few days.
