A terribly bad delivery experience and mediocre couch
I had good experiences with used couches for years, but I couldn't find the right one this time, I had the funds for a new one for the first time, and the idea of my first new couch was exciting! I saw Allform reviews and compared prices with other companies and decided this was the one. Until it wasn't. The couch arrived in boxes that required two people to lift. I live alone in a 3rd floor apartment and did not expect to need to ask for help. The ottoman arrived days apart, and one of the couch boxes with the arms and hardware never arrived. I spoke with customer service and they said they would expedite ship it because it was accidentely still sitting in their warehouse. Over a week later, I received four more boxes - one with arms, 2 with legs, and 2 with hardware, and they didn't all arrive on the same day. Two more chats with customer service, and I was ready to build my couch! Except I couldn't. Three t-bolts were broken and one of the arms wouldn't align with the base. At this point, it had been over a month and at least five "live chats" (which don't feel very lively) since I had ordered the couch I was supposed to receive in 1-2 weeks. They offered to pick up this couch and send me a new one but could not ensure that all of the pieces would be included, functional, and aligned. By offer, I mean they just did it, so I had to get on another live chat to say no, please just pick up the couch and ottoman and don't send me anything else. I'm hoping that the next company I work with is a whole lot better. P.S. As far as couch quality, I didn't get to live with a full couch, but I still got to sit on part of the one I received. The bottom is firm and the back is cozy. The length of the bottom is too long for my comfort (I'm 5'6"), but sitting cross-legged was comfortable, and I imagine it would be a nice napping couch. The fabric picks up pet hair like crazy, and you can't brush it off - you need to vacuum - so I wouldn't recommend for pet owners.
