I’m not a coffee connoisseur who can pick out the different flavor notes but I know what good coffee tastes like and what bland or bitter big box coffee tastes like. I’ve tried Aardvark’s Fortico and Tenacious and both are very good, very fresh beans, rich and not bitter. Makes good drip coffee but even better in a French press if you have time.

This is the second variety I’ve tried from aardvark coffee co & was actually super surprised how much I loved it! I have had mixed feelings about lighter roasts because they can be pretty bitter when using an espresso machine but this Tenacious blend is incredible! I don’t know how they do it…this has a brighter taste than most coffees I’ve been buying, without being bitter, and it smells amazing & definitely a welcome change from the typical dark roast espresso. If you like a pressure brew, the crema on this does not disappoint. So far all the coffees I’ve tried from this company have great crema & work great in an super automatic espresso machine.
