Note that many other covers now offer a place to add water and supposedly provide a "steam" option, which this cover does not have. So before ordering, check if your microwave has a magnet-compatible upper roof. If not, you won’t be able to use the unique magnetic feature of this cover. In that case, it might be worth considering a steam cover instead if that feature is important to you.

I love how this microwave cover isn't obnoxious and needing to be moved every time I place something in the microwave. It's up and out of the way, making it very convenient to store and use. This cover is a bit shallow. It's definitely best used for plates of food, not bowls. I absolutely love this, though. I can throw a plate of food in and then cover instead of removing cover, placing food in, and then covering. Saving myself a step gets food in mouths quicker! I love this cover!

This arrived today, I washed it up and gave it a go, cooked off some chili which we all know splatters and makes a HUGE mess. This lid did a great job, no mess at all in my microwave and I love that it stores in the top of the microwave

It's a genius innovation. When cooking is done, you lift the lid to the roof of the microwave and magnets stick it to the roof. The magnets have caused no issues with the microwave running. Our previous cover was glass, which was easy to clean, but I like the steam vents built into this one. The heat is retained but doesn't create a trap for pressure to suction onto plates or bowls. It is recommended not to microwave with the cover stuck to the top of the microwave. I haven't tried, but I imagine it might create a hot spot that could damage the magnets since they aren't spinning. Sticking the cover to the room makes it easy to use since it takes away that extra step of taking out the cover or dangerously taking it with you.

Every microwave needs one of these! I love the magnetic feature to keep it up and out of the way. It’s affordable and very easy to clean.

I previously had a microwave cover without magnets, and it was quite inconvenient when I didn’t need the cover during cooking.
