My stepmom has been fueling my coffee passion for years and recently her and my father purchased me the IKAWA home. My mind has been blown since they first told me about it. She had previously gifted me a used roaster for larger batches and honestly it was so far over my head I don’t think I ever would have used it. The second I downloaded the IKAWA app and opened the box I already was learning and felt as though I could attempt a first roast. I have now completed a few different roasts for myself and a few friends and my single complaint is that I can’t drink coffee fast enough to keep trying new roasts as fast as I’d like. The sample size of 100g is excellent, and the entire setup and actual roasting phase is completely visible and therefore educational and fun. It has been so fun to share this with family members and friends and I just can’t wait to keep roasting various beans and roasts along my journey of learning more about coffee! The customer service I have experienced has been timely, personalized, and exceptional. I can’t say enough good about the IKAWA team or their products. Having recently gotten into home coffee, I wanted to step my game up. I haven't roasted before, so there was no better way to go than with Ikawa. The machine and app are user friendly, connectivity is seemless. The green beans that are supplied are delicious, I really enjoyed getting to know the machine with recommended roast settings for these beans. I have started to make my own blends too! Having fresh coffee at my convenience is simply amazing. From my research, most at home roasters need to be outside due to smoke etc, but there is very little smoke with Ikawa at home. I roast in my kitchen, and if I do multiple roasts in a row, I either open the window or turn on the extractor fan. With regards noise, it isn't overly loud, but you can hear it in the next room. It collects the chaff for you too! There is nothing I don't love about this machine.

I've been home roasting for six years and am now at the stage where it's very rare that I can buy a cup of coffee outside that tastes as good as I can make at home - and much of this is down to the freshness of the roast. I converted to an IKAWA home roaster earlier this year, and it is SO easy to use, especially if you buy from the IKAWA shop, but you also have access to green beans from any other company - the home roaster will roast them just as easily. I now don't have to worry about smoke and chaff and am very pleased I took this decision to purchase.

A great and convenient way of roasting your own coffee at home. Create your own blends or single origin. Very easy to use from the app with enough flexibility to allow you to roast to your preferences. Support is great too, which is a big added bonus.

I have good experience with this small appliance. It’s very convenient, efficient and easy to operate. I like to share my fresh roasted coffee beans with my neighbors.

I look forward to roasting days at home with my new IKAWA roaster, especially the smell of coffee beans roasting. Roasting is easy and fun with the IKAWA and the 100 gram capacity is a great improvement, three roasts and I’m set for the week. The recipes are wonderful, but even better is the ability to modify them to my personal tastes.

I can't believe how easy it is to roast coffee using my new IKAWA. It is a robust device with very minimal maintenance, it really encourages you to experiment with different blends. I'm delighted with my purchase.

Have had my home roaster since the successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015(?) an love it! At times I can get tired of the endless possibilities when I struggle dialing in a new bean, but over time I have developed a decent feel for what works and what doesn’t. With the new update the IKAWA team has also relieved me of some of that burden with great suggestions for recipes even for non-IKAWA beans. The best thing with the home roaster is that despite only drinking one cup coffee a day I can get completely different tasting experience each day, with different fresh beans. Without the need of buying really small packages (ie being expensive) or large packages of preroasted coffee risking getting old.

Excellent roast profile with steady and gradual rise in temperature #high peak 🔥🍒👍✌️for example Kenya roast profiles are very sensitive and it’s easy to drop the profile curve just after crack 🔥ikawahome is excellent on this profile it’s kept waving up to achieve the expect and desirable taste 👅 notes . That's why I like using ikawahome.

Recently purchased the IKAWA, replacing an older Behmor workhorse. The IKAWA is easier to use, safer and makes a more flavorful bean. My wife even stopped putting cream in her coffee because the coffee alone tastes so good!

Never been more happy or satisfied with my roaster! I’m having a lot of fun roasting but also learning about the different ways to enjoy the coffee beans! Truly worth the investment and time! Makes me appreciate my espressos more everyday!

I have had the Ikawa Home model 50 for a year, I use it daily since that day and I am extremely satisfied with it. I still hesitate to offer myself the model 100 😁, easy to use, effective, versatile, it allows me to adjust my roasting as close as possible to my tastes! One word: Awesome !

I am pretty impressed of how well my investment turned to be. I love roasting my coffee weekly and honestly I cannot enjoy any coffeehouse drinks no more!! pretty amazing and easy to use.

I have the smaller 50 gram model and use it every few days to roast (4) 50 gram batches of light roast for pour overs and (4) 50 gram batches for darker espresso. Both are blends and either blended before or after roasting - depends on the beans. I let these rest 3-4 days before using and store them in Airspace jars. I roast in my kitchen on the counter and crack open the window to let out some of the exhaust, it's tolerable and my home does not smell like roasted coffee. I create my own recipes and the best thing is the ability to repeat these over and over achieving consistent results. Coffee Nirvana!

With the three of us in this house and we all need our fresh coffee. Now we can have whatever roast level we want, whenever we want, for whatever brew method we’re in the mood for- which means three very happy beanheads. It’s so simple I run a batch while making a pour-over without a thought. Every brew has been delicious and no beans were wasted.

Had the old version and was very satisfied and now bought the new version in order to increase the capacity. Can’t say anything bad. It’s better in all ways and with new new app 👍

My Ikawa Home gives me hours of enjoyment every week, not to mention delicious and fresh home roasted coffee whenever I want. Roasting with my Ikawa is so easy and if I ever do need any help or advice the ikawa team is just an email away and always responds very quickly! I can truthfully recommend the Ikawa Home Roaster to anyone that want to begin the hike roasting journey! It’s a beautiful machine, easy to use, requires only a minute or two to maintain and clean, and is backed up by a team of experts that is readily available and eager to help or just “talk” coffee! I love it!!!!

Got the new 100g home roaster. Smoke isn't a problem for me. It's heavier than you think - so it's very stable and will not be knocked over. Roasting coffee on an air bed is great. Consistency is solid. The new app update makes it so much easier to choose my flavours - push the button, and after 10 minutes or so - fresh coffee! The downside is that I wanted to wait 48 hours for the coffee to degas after roasting, so I couldn't taste the coffee on day 1! The coffee tasted great!

I have always loved my coffee, I used to order from online coffee companies and whilst the coffee was good ,nothing compares to using ikawa. You are in charge of the entire process, i love roasting my coffee each week and understanding about different coffee regions. My fav coffee at the moment is San Lorenzo from Colombia. You won’t regret the outlay as I get so much joy from the machine every day.

Feels great to have even greater control over my coffee. Easy to learn right out of the box!
