This is such a great product and just what I needed to be able to keep in daily contact with my dad in the nursing home. Ken was great with my questions and setup. I highly recommend this.

The callGenie works great for connecting with my mother, with no action required on her side to join the video calls. She really enjoys meeting via video call rather than voice only so we're very happy with the callGenie solution.

It's great install was easy to install Ken was awesome! Ifind that a lot of people older ones struggle with Skype and adding my mother. That's not call Genies fault though.

The CallGenie staff walked through the set-up process and are very personable. It works perfectly as advertised. I purchased callGenie for my special needs son who lives in an AFC home, and if my parents were still alive, it would have made our lives, and our elderly parents live so much easier and enjoyable. Don't hesitate! It is life changing.

It is great as my mother does not have the use of her hands and is restricted to her bed or wheel chair so it’s great that we can call her without her having to do anything. The only thing is that because she doesn’t have live tv we only have Prime and Netflix once the call terminates the program does not turn back on it turns off Which you could try to program the extra steps Other than that it’s great

The concept of this product is fantastic and a great service for relatives to video call our elderly. callGenie did not work perfectly on my tv model. Ken in support, was proactive to find a solution

This is a unique product that solves a very difficult problem for people with dementia who can’t operate the vast complexity of modern devices. It requires a bit of setup but it works very well once everything’s hooked up and configured.

Blindly trusted an unknown company, the device, and services was no way an easy decision. And yes, the price is steep that caused indecisiveness. But, the smile and happiness I see on my 82 year old mother each time someone she loves shows up on the television is worth the price over and over again. Callgenie has given my mother something back in her life and that is being a part of the people she loves lives. Mom continues to say thank you, thank you over and over again. Rob has made the whole process of purchasing and setting up the device easy and pleasurable. Thank you! I can now return to my home overseas with peace of mind knowing mom will no longer feel isolated and lonely. Thank you!!!!!!!!

The one issue that is a problem is that my 92 year old father mutes the TV all the time. So when I call on skype he cannot hear me and does look at the TV. This is problem that happens about 50% of the time.

My sister has intermediate dementia, so I was looking for a system that would not be new for her to use and require NO actions on her part to receive calls. Although I had to get her a new TV, she could use the same remote control as she used before. Unfortunately, she doesn't use this TV anymore to watch her favorite shows, unless I am there. But since I live in another state the CallGenie works great because she doesn't even have to turn the TV on or off, since it does it automatically when I video Skype her. And it really works great in reviewing her mail with her when she holds it up to the camera. Its very readable. Although the installation was a lot more trouble than I expected Rob Roy was great in troubleshooting the issues. I think we ran into every problem that could be encounter. Old modem (15-20 yrs old) had to be upgraded. Communication problems between the CallGenie computer and the modem through a new ethernet cable and having to add WiFi as backup. (I prefer hard wire rather than WiFi because my perception is that it has fewer problems.) Cable splitter connector to feed the TV and the modem had to be replaced by cable company. ROKU TV worked better the the LG TV. HDMI cable between cable box and TV worked better than coaxial cable, IR sensor needed a better position. End result: Problem free operation on 8 video Skype calls since installation a week ago. Now if they can only locate a camera in the middle of the TV screen, that would be great.

Call Genie is as good as advertised! A fantastic way to connect with my elderly parents while on vacation or away from home. The technology is amazing and the support is second to none! Thank you Call Genie!

Overall we are enjoying our callgenie. We struggle with little things here and there like disconnecting calls that have multiple people on them, audio quality, sharing links with people.

Great system, really has helped communications with our mother, and is nice to be able to visually check in with her when we can't get there in person. Looking forward to the notification upgrade coming soon.

It is exactly what is says it is. Works awesome. The company is a mazing and so is the support. This is not a plug and play system but they walk you though set up very well through Skype. Highly recommend. Used it the other night to say good night to my father and he was in bed. He did not have to do a thing and I appeared on his TV. He laughed when he saw me then said good night. Well worth every penny.
