The Street Art workshop provided by MBN Arts for Elevate Foundation, was an excellent opportunity for YP to explore their creative potential, learn new techniques and experiment with different styles whilst gaining confidence in their street art skills. Mike is extremely encouraging, engaging with the young people in a relaxed way, providing instruction, helpful feed back and guidance throughout. The young people came out enthused and excited, proud of what they had achieved, several commented how free they felt, being able to express themselves in the workshop and all wanted to have the opportunity to do it again!

Without the support and nurture that my son has received unconditionally I honestly think we would have struggled to ground tom after such a bumpy ride throughout his educational journey .we've never seen tom so engaged so enthusiastic and so happy as he is when spending time at mbnarts with the crew. Diagnosed at the age of 9 excluded from his primary school and totally lacking understanding from his teachers throughout his upper school years, he left with no gcses . If we had known a few years back about this provision available through his ehcp I truly believe his and our journey would have been so different. no self worth no motivation and he did not believe in himself we had exhausted all avenues until we met Mike and his crew . Placements like these are amazing not only for kids who struggle in main stream school and those young adults that got lost in the system but also for us as parents... to see our boy thrive well what we mean is that he was a seed but we didn't know what type .he was in the wrong soil and without water or light for far too long..and then mbnarts happened and he sprung to life growing in all areas and so focused on his life's dreams ...my son reminds me of a sunflower growing fast and reaching new heights and the best is yet to come ,we truly believe that . so thankyou mbn arts and the staff ...you really are miracle workers and without you putting all the commitment and understanding as to how these kids tick into play the world would be very dark for them .keep throwing colour about the place and keep these kids smiling 😃 kirsten and chris

My son was a complete school refuser, we moved to a specialist school which resulted in multiple exclusions and working lower level academically than he was capable of. We found MBNarts and my son was finally given a chance to flourish and succeed. Having 1:1 mentors he is able to have the head space and calm environment to regulate his emotions. He has achieved 3 arts award qualifications within the first year and is currently working towards the next one. His self esteem has grown and he can regulate himself so much better by giving the understanding, time and tools to help him. Mike and his team are exceptional for working with young people that have SEN needs and wish we had found them sooner.

My sons have attended a number of different holiday clubs over the years but this is by far their favourite. The club is so welcoming and fun. My sons always come home excited to tell me and show what they have done. It has become a real highlight of the holidays for them and I can’t thank the group enough. They can’t wait to come back!

Both of mine girl and boy aged 6&8 absolutely love coming to MBN ARTS!! They really enjoy interacting with other children and the staff and love learning new skills and have gained lots of new interest outside of the club because of this. Would highly recommend!!

My son had an amazing time. He loves art and was very proud of his art work. He said Mr Ness was a great teacher and can't wait to do more classes sometime soon.

Youth Cancer Trust provides support and free activity-based holidays to children and young people with cancer. Mike has become a valued friend and supporter of the charity, contributing his skills and knowledge to numerous projects. He has hosted a graffiti workshop for our guests in which they had an enjoyable day, learning a new skill and creating a piece of art to take home with them. Mike was the Creative Director on our Dance Beats Cancer project and was instrumental in the planning and storyboarding of the piece of dance for film we created, as well as supporting the art elements included. The film won silver at the Charity Film Awards. I’d recommend Mike to anyone that is looking to book his services. He is professional, precise and exceptionally talented, as well as instinctively being able to anticipate the needs of his client or students.

My child has never been academic, and has greatly struggled within mainstream eduction for years. Getting him into school was a daily battle, and when there, he was not engaging in any of his learning. But then this changed. Mike and MBN ARTS made that difference! He began to enjoy going to school again, and found confidence and belief in himself. He would come home and talk about all the creative projects he had been doing, and from this found a real passion for illustration. I would highly recommend MBN ARTS and Mike as there support has not only helped my boy be happy, but he has turned a real corner in his classroom learning.
