Poles look great, will try them out in NZ in August. My wife loved hers last year in Colorado.

They were customised with length, colour and laser etching so he will be reminded each time he is out backcountry or sitting on a chair. One daughter got these. Functionally way better than metal poles - (1) they are extremely well balanced with the tip on the end creating an excellent balance point, and (2) the bamboo is not as cold as metal poles to hold when on the chair! Loved them so much the other daughter wanted some. I'm a boarder so don't get any :(.
