Watercolour Brush Pens
I’ve owned these pens for a while now and I love them. They’re the third brand of real brush tip watercolour pens that I’ve tried and they are by far the best! The real bristles can take a little getting used to if you’re only accustomed to fibre tipped brush pens but once you get the hang of them they’re sure to become an invaluable addition to your collection. Each colour is highly pigmented giving a lovely rich vibrant finish. They produce seamless blends when used with the quality water brush provided but they are also fun and extremely effective when blended with each other. They are really juicy producing broad down strokes whilst the fine tip enables beautifully thin upstrokes which any hand lettering enthusiast will appreciate greatly! Their versatility is another big plus for me. They work well alone for brush lettering. They blend perfectly when applied directly to water colour paper and water is added and fabulous effects can be achieved by first applying the colour to a paint palette and then transferring to paper by means of a wet paint brush or the added water brush. The waterbrush itself is quality allowing the flow of water to be perfectly controlled and having the same quality bristles as the pens allows for those beautiful upstrokes and bold down strokes. These pens enable you to produce larger washes of colour but to also add finer more detailed aspects to your work. All of that for such a bargain price! You couldn’t ask for better.
