After having a more premium brand Soap dispenser for a few years and replacing them once a year. We chose a cheaper model. This one is plastic, compared to the chrome models we previously had. The one improvement why we chose this model, was the recharging port is inside the unit. Other dispensers failed when the ports on the outside got clogged and/or wet. Time will tell how long this unit will last. However we are pleased that the price is about a third of the previous ones. Much easier to swallow when the unit fails.
